The Site is a referral service. It provides general information about water damage and mold and a phone line that connects Rhode Island homeowners with participating independent water damage restoration and mold remediation providers ("Providers").
We are not a contractor. We do not inspect homes, perform or supervise any work, set prices, or dispatch anyone. We do not employ Providers, and Providers are not our agents.
2. Independent providers
Providers are independent businesses. They are solely responsible for their work, prices, estimates, schedules, contracts, warranties, licensing, insurance, and customer service. Any agreement for work is made directly between you and the Provider; we are not a party to it.
RIWaterAndMold.com does not warrant or guarantee any work performed by any Provider. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify that the hired contractor furnishes the necessary license and insurance required for the work being performed.
3. Compensation
This Site may be compensated by participating Providers, for example when a call is connected to them. Being connected with a Provider through the Site is not a recommendation, endorsement, or evaluation of that Provider.
4. Who may use the service
The phone line is intended for adults who own a home in Rhode Island and need a new water damage restoration or mold remediation job. If you rent, please contact your landlord or property manager first. If you already have a contractor working on your job, please contact them directly.
The phone line is not an emergency service. If there is a fire, a gas smell, an electrical hazard, or a risk of injury, leave the area and call 911.
5. Availability
We don't guarantee that a Provider will be available for your location, your type of job, or the time you call, or that any call will be connected. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Site or the phone line at any time.
6. Information on the Site
Content on the Site is general information only. It is not professional, legal, insurance, medical, or safety advice, and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional who has seen your situation. Always read your own insurance policy and talk with your insurance company about coverage.
